Finnegan is a beautiful long-haired Chihuahua, born in March 2009 around St. Patrick’s Day. He is a timid little guy, but once he is used to you, he will let you know it’s ok to pick him up by spinning around and giving you his back. He weighs just a few ounces over 6 lbs, so he is very light and easy to handle and he loves to be held and to sit on your lap. He would be great in a home with other dogs, but he would be just as happy to have a human all to himself. He is working on housetraining, and would do best if kept on a regular schedule.  Finnegan the adorable Chihuahua is fostering in the Mid-Atlantic Region.

Wally is a 6 1/2 yr. old 12 lb Yorkshire Terrier.  He came into rescue when his family could no longer care for him.  He loves swimming in the pool, sleeping in the big bed, going for walks and rides, and cuddling with humans.  He gets along well with his furry foster siblings although he can be a bit bossy with other male dogs.  Wally is fine with gentle children and cats too.  This handsome Yorkie boy is fostering in CT.

Logan is the most adorable and lovable Shih Tzu boy who loves to play and snuggle!  This 18 month old, 8 lb. puppy will roll onto his back to let everyone know it's time for a belly rub.  He is working hard on house training and is doing very well when taken out regularly.  Logan is a champ when it comes to leash walking and savors every minute outside exploring.  He loves playing and giving kisses to humans and his fur siblings, including the kitty!  Logan sleeps soundly in the big bed and absolutely loves children.  He is a personable baby and would do well with a family who has a stay-at-home or work-at-home person.  Logan the sweet Shih Tzu is fostering in New York.

Matthew is a handsome 6 yr. old 14 lb. Shih Tzu sweetheart.  He loves to be with his people, and will follow them everywhere.  He is very involved with his humans, either playing fetch or cuddling, or tilting his head to listen to them talk.  Matthew loves to give kisses, and sleeps in the big bed or in his bed on the floor.  He adores being petted, and will grumble as if he is purring when you rub his back.  He leaps up when he's excited, circles around when he's happy and is absolutely a dream Tzu who is looking for a terrific home.  Matthew is mostly house trained, and walks well on a leash, although he would LOVE to have a fenced backyard so he can run.  He is very friendly and will go up to say "hello" to everyone he meets.   Matthew would like another energetic pup to play with.  This Shih Tzu pup plays very hard, so older children would be best.  Matthew is fostering in North Carolina and can travel to his forever home.

Bonnie is a 1 year old Maltese Yorkshire Terrier girl.  She is a peppy little lady who loves to play with toys and chew bones.  She can be a bit timid, but when she gets to know you, she is your best buddy!   She is a fast learner and has picked up housetraining almost to perfection.  She rides very well in the car and will be trying out her new harness as soon as weather permits. At only 9 pounds Bonnie is the perfect size for cuddling and playing.  She will bring love and devotion to a lucky household.   This pup would do best in a quiet adult home with people who are in most of the day.  Bonnie the Maltese Yorkie Mix is fostering in South Carolina.

Tinkerbell is an adorable Lhasa Apso who wants to be in the thick of things in the household.  She is very well trained in her doggie manners, loves other dogs, and has not met a friend she doesn't like.  She is always first in line for petting and being in your lap.  She has very definite ideas how things should be done and will tell you so in typical Lhasa style!  She is good on a leash, and would do best in an adult home because Tinkerbell is afraid of children's rapid movements.  This 6 year old 12 lb. Lhasa girl is fostering in CT. 

Magoo is an adorable white and gold Shih Tzu with a smile for anyone he meets!   He's about 3 years old, 16 pounds  and loves life.  Magoo is a friendly charmer and loves to see new friends.  With a wagging tail, he will bring one of his favorite toys for you to throw for him and play tug-of-war with too!  He is housetrained, loves to sleep on the big bed, and will do well with a fenced, grassy yard where he can romp and play with another furbaby friend or family member.  He even tolerates the cats although he will give them a short chase now and then, but he won't touch!  This little Shih Tzu boy is just waiting for the right family to invite him in.  Magoo is currently fostering in North Georgia.

Lucy is an 7 year old Yorkshire Terrier mix who weighs only 8 lbs. She is very affectionate and gives lots of kisses.  Lucy enjoys lounging and napping high up on the sofa cushions, but her favorite spot in on a warm lap. This little lady just loves to be held and pampered.  She walks well on a leash and is trained to use puppy pads   This Yorkie mix girl is great with other dogs, and would like a stay-at-home human. Lucy the Yorkie Mix is fostering in the Southeast.

April is a beautiful 3 yr. old female Pomeranian who weighs about 5 lbs.  She loves to play with other small dogs, and is doing very well with housetraining when kept on a schedule.  April is shy and timid when she meets new friends, and is beginning to become more comfortable.  As she blossoms, her amazing personality is starting to show.  This pretty girl would do best in a very quiet, laid-back adult household.  She would enjoy the company of a small furry pal.  April the Pomeranian is fostering in Florida.

Hope is a very personable male Pekingese who loves everyone he meets. He loves walks, car rides, and just snuggling on your lap. Hope prefers not to be picked up and will "talk" to you with a sort of growl. He is best suited for a family with older children (the growling, though not aggressive, could be misconstrued by younger children). Hope's adopter should also be dog experienced, perferably with a fenced in yard a must, since he loves to run around outdoors. Hope the Peke is being fostered in the Northeast.

My name is Babygirl, and I'm a 3 - 4 yr. old Chihuahua Mix who weighs about 15 lbs. I would like an adult home with a small doggie that I can play tug-o-war and chase with. I love the outdoors, and playing fetch, and would do best in a home with a fenced yard. I am very shy when you first meet me, but just give me a chance to get to know you and I can give you all the LOVE you could ask for! I do well with small dogs and cats, although I am not comfortable around children or large dogs.  I am nicely housetrained when kept on schedule, and fostering in Florida.

He's an affectionate little guy who likes to sleep in bed with you. Andy is working on housetraining, and gets along well with dogs and gentle children, although he does not care for cats. He would like a home with a furry sibling to play with and a mostly stay-at-home human to continue with his puppy training. Andy the Shih Tzu/Maltese boy is fostering in Indiana.
