Punkin - Female Shih Tzu
Meet "Lil Punkin", an 8-10 year old female Shih-tzu that was found wandering the streets and brought to the local shelter. Punkin is a sweet, loving little girl who is housetrained but has some medical issues that make her a "special" baby. She is completely blind and only has one eye and although.this does not hinder her from moving about, but she does need assistance and is learning to rely on sounds to navigate. She has grade 3-4 luxating patellas in both back legs which gives her a bowlegged walk, but does not bother her and she can still scamper around quite well! Sweet Punkin also has a grade 2-3 heart murmur. Despite of all her medical issues, Punkin is lively, alert and a very happy dog! Since being with her foster mom and dad she has shown an exhuberance for life and thrives on being held and loved. She shares her home with 5 other furbabies and gets along fine with them, although she does not play. Punkin needs a stay-at-home family that is able to p rovide her with the necessary assistance she needs for taking her outside for pottying and can provide her with the very close attention she deserves. Punkin would not do well with children due to her blindness and personality. If you want a baby to just hold and love, then Punkin is the girl. This sweet tzu is fostering in the Mid-Atlantic.
